Naples, FL Professional golfer Charles Henry “Chip” Beck has established an affiliation with Grey Oaks Country Club, a multiple award-winning community located on Airport-Pulling Road just north of Golden Gate Parkway in Naples, Florida. Beck, a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina who currently resides in Lake Forest, Illinois with his wife, Karen and their four children, will assist with new member recruitment and share his many golf talents during playing rounds and practice sessions with Grey Oaks members.

Beck played on the PGA Tour from 1979 to 1999 and claimed four official victories and twenty runner-up finishes, including runner up at the 1993 Masters Tournament. His accomplishments include the second "59" in PGA tour history at the Las Vegas Invitational. He scored the first "par-4 ace" in Nationwide Tour history with a 316-yard hole-in-one at Champions' Run in the Omaha Classic 2003. He has been ranked among the top 10 players in the world, and was runner-up in the 1986 and 1989 U.S. Open Championships. Beck joined the Champions Tour in September of 2006, earning five top-25 finishes, including a second, a tie for second and a third. He nearly won at the AT&T Championship, falling short in the end as Fred Funk birdied three of the last four holes to overtake him. Beck played on three U.S. Ryder Cup teams and became eligible for the Champions' Tour in 2006. He remains active in the golf world as a player, spokesman and business developer, and played in the Allianz Senior Tour event in Boca Raton February 9th through the 15th, 2010. The three-time All American at the University of Georgia joins a staff of fifteen PGA professionals at Grey Oaks.

Long known for its stately residences, lushly landscaped parkways and world-class amenities, Grey Oaks Country Club has been named one of the top 35 residential country club communities in the United States by the Platinum Club of America and recognized as one of America’s top 100 golf communities by Travel & Leisure Golf for three consecutive years. Platinum Clubs represent the top 4% of America’s 5,000 private clubs. Recognition as a Platinum Club is similar to the esteemed Mobil Five Star rating of hotels and resorts.

Offering an incredible 54 holes of golf on three distinctly different courses just minutes from Naples’ downtown district and Gulf Coast beaches, Grey Oaks Country Club provides an unforgettable golf experience. Designed by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton, the Club’s Pine Course has been named one of the “Top 50 Most Distinctive Courses in the Southeast” by Golfweek Magazine and winner of the “Best of the Gulf Shore Golf Course” from Gulfshore Life Magazine. The 7,206-yard course features rolling berms, pine and cedar hammocks and dramatic elevation changes that blend naturally with the surrounding preserves and lakes.

A tiered rock waterfall, bulk-headed island greens, meandering lagoons and white sand beaches give the 6,864-yard Palm Course a dramatic tropical look. Designed by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton, the course is planted with over 3,500 coconut palms. Challenging greens and spacious fairways combine to give this course its distinctive character.

The Estuary Course is the final jewel in Grey Oaks’ triple crown of championship golf. Designed by Bob Cupp, the 6,859 yard course offers a combination of challenging golf, pristine conditions and nature at its best. Diverse fairway widths, the varied sizes of the Tif-Eagle greens and creative bunker design are among the characteristics of this inspirational course. With five par threes and five par fives, the course is appreciated by all levels of golfers. The Estuary Course was named 2005 Florida Course of the Year by the National Golf Course Owners Association.

In addition to the three golf courses, Grey Oaks Country Club members enjoy 5,500 square feet of fitness facilities, a tennis club with 8 lighted Har-Tru courts and pro shop, a heated free-style pool and formal and casual dining at two clubhouses, the 62,000 square foot Club at Grey Oaks Clubhouse and the 22,000 square foot Estuary Clubhouse.
